Free From Show Melbourne – My Provincial Kitchen

ALL PRODUCTS AVAILABLE MID AUGUST

Free From Show Melbourne

We're home from a great weekend in Melbourne.  We attended the new & exciting Free From Show & we had a great time.  It is always so much fun chatting with people about lupins & learning about their intolerances or problems with foods.  We find that living on the farm we are fairly insulated from all of these, so it is fabulous to have this opportunity to see if there is anything we can do to help people with the food that is available to them.

My Provincial Kitchen Free From Stand

We took 2 of our kids with us & they were such a great help, between taking the ropes while Robert & I were away looking at other stands, filling up the tasting plates, making us cups of tea & anything else that needed to be done, we couldn't have been there & enjoyed ourselves as much without them.  Each day I baked fresh chocolate brownie, savoury muffins & raspberry white choc mini muffins as well.

There are so many different dietary & allergy requirements that people have these days, the Free From Show is the perfect show to attend if you fall into this category.  There was a great range of different  companies there with great products. Some of our favourites are Almo, quality almond milk that is exactly that almond milk, it is absolutely delicious, Tom & Luke bringing you scrumptious snackballs, my favourite is the dark chocolate, Patch Strips  they make alternative natural wound coverings made from bamboo, they feel so nice. It's great to have the opportunity to have a look around at so many different brands in the one place.

We are looking forward to our next show which is Mingenew Expo August 14 & 15.  Mingenew is one of the small country town close to us & I have been asked to cook in the Paddock to Plate tent this year, so I'll be sharing some exciting ways I use lupin flour in our home.
