Scrumptious gluten free apple crumble
When all you want to do is cook food for your family that they will love, but you want to do it in a way that you feel is healthier for them. They want what they're used to & you try to make it so you feel better about them eating it.
This is one of those recipes. My family LOVES apple crumble as do I & since I have changed my diet (specifically) I have found it hard to make this knowing that I am able to eat it as well as everyone else enjoying it.
So here came our gluten and dairy free version.
I'd love to know how you go with making this when you give it a try.
YOU WILL NEED
5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 Tablespoon sugar of choice
½ cup water
¾ cup gluten free self raising lupin flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup rapadura sugar
80g nut butter
NOW WHIP IT UP
Place apples, sugar and water in saucepan
Cook on medium heat for approx 10-15 minutes until apple is soft
Preheat oven to 170 degrees celcius
Sift flour into bowl
Add cinnamon and sugar and mix to combine
Rub butter into flour mix
Grease a small baking (casserole) dish with butter or oil
Place cooked apples in dish
Spread crumbs mix over apple
Bake for approx 25 minutes until golden brown
Savour the deliciousness of this with some vanilla ice cream, custard or coconut yoghurt 😊
